Chery vehicles in the list included the Chery Arrizo 5 and the Chery Tiggo 5X which won the first place in the compact sedan and compact SUV market segments respectively.
The Initial Quality Study SM(IQS) is one of J.D. Power’s global flagship industry joint studies. The study covers 230 models of 48 brands, focusing on the quality problems encountered by owners of fuel vehicles with a vehicle ownership period of 2 to 6 months.
The specific diagnostic questions include 218 problems in 9 categories (body appearance, body interior, driving experience, configuration / control system / dashboard, infotainment system, air conditioning, seating, powertrain, and driver assistance). Expressed as the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), the lower the score, the fewer the number of problems and the better the quality.
In recent years, Chery has kept performing well in major J.D. Power awards. In the “2023 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study SM (APEAL)” model ranking recently released by J.D. Power, Chery’s Tiggo 7 series and Tiggo 8 series products won two market segments of mid-sized economical SUV and mid-sized SUV respectively.
In “2022 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study SM (APEAL)”, the Chery Arrizo 5 PLUS won the first place in the mid-sized basic sedan market segment. In the “2021 China Vehicle Dependability Study SM (VDS)”, the Chery Tiggo 3X won the champion of the mini SUV segment. Numerous awards have fully confirmed the strength and excellent quality of Chery’s products.
