Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF)

Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) is engaged in supporting diverse social causes and its nationwide activities are apparent in various spheres of greatest need. While most of the projects are directly handled by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF), it also undertakes projects jointly with Ministries/Institutions.

Headed by Chairman, Mr. Mohammed Saud Bahwan, the prime objective of the Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) is helping those in need.

Some of its major charity initiatives include Child Care & Education, Health Care, Housing & Mosque, amongst other forms of assistance.

Child Care Center is an orphanage constructed by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) at Al Khoudh, Oman and it comprises 33 Villas and 47 Buildings. It operates on the ‘Mother system’ wherein one lady staff takes care of 5-8 kids. The facility is equipped with a Clinic, a Nursery and an Auditorium apart from administrative buildings. Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) funds the recurring cost of staff salary, food and other expenses.

Al Wafa Centres for the Disabled receive generous funding from Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) and this hassled to the construction of 23 centres across Oman, which currently serve over 2000 differently-abled children. The children are treated with a full range of facilities and Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) undertakes financial assistance for the operations.

Association for the Welfare of Handicapped Children comprises centres serving physically & mentally challenged children constructed by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) a major expense for running centres is borne by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) and it is run by lady staff for teaching & support activities. There are additional outreaches through physiotherapy and autism programs.

The Omar Bin Al Khatab Institute for the Blind is a residential school for the blind with the capacity to educate students with all essential amenities. The Institute has been built with major funding by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF).

The Al Noor Association for Blind has received financial aid from Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF), which has also supplied special equipment for the blind. Apart from this, the annual rental of the premises & other recurring expenses of headquarters in Muscat, 3 branches (Sohar, Ibri & Salalah) are also being borne by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF).

Children’s Public Library is a state of art public library dedicated for children. Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) has funded the construction of the library including all fixtures, books and various other teaching materials, for the benefit of the young minds.

Scholarships are provided for Omani students by the Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) for overseas studies in the UK, New Zealand & Australia. Students have received full scholarship from Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) for studying in Oman, through the Ministry of Education. Additionally, students have also received direct scholarship from Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) for studying in Oman.
