SAUD BAHWAN CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (SBCF)

The largest charity organization in Oman, Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) is engaged in supporting diverse social causes and its nationwide activities are apparent in various spheres of greatest need. While most of the projects are directly handled by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF), it also undertakes projects jointly with Ministries / Institutions.

Headed by Chairman Mohammed Saud Bahwan, the prime objective of the Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) is helping those in need.

Some of its major charity initiatives include Child Care & Education, Health Care, Housing & Mosque, amongst other forms of assistance.

Houses for needy families have been built by Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) in coordination with Ministry of Housing. Over 1000 houses constructed in various locations: Muttrah, Rawdha, Quriat, Wadi Bani Khalid, Mahda and other areas.

Palm Gardens is an upmarket residential complex located at Sohar. The funds generated through rentals are used for Saud Bahwan Charitable Foundation (SBCF) projects.

Mohamed Al Ameen Mosque rests on a huge area of 20,300 sq. m and has a main prayer hall that can accommodate 2,100 people. It is adorned by the 3rd largest hand woven Persian carpet in the world. The mosques has chandeliers with 24 Karat gold plating & Swarovski crystals and a well-stocked library with 12,000 titles and 3 main reading rooms.
